The instrumental is simple which allows the lyrics to shine. The love and absolute passion in this song is tangible. The hook is sung by Ty Dolla $ign and I love how it sounds. This is a beautiful song detailing the love Mac Miller feels for his “Cinderella” aka Ariana Grande. Track 5: “Cinderella” Even though most of the songs on this album could be considered love songs, this is the one that I would call the love song. This song shows pure infatuation and just how powerful femininity can be. This instrumental could not have been more perfect for the song. It’s dark, smooth, sexy, and a little jazzy with some saxophone thrown in there. Mac describes having sex with the this girl he is so in love with. Track 4: “Skin” This song is very explicitly sexual. I love that this song keeps a fun, jazzy feel while talking about the tough parts of relationshops.
His passion is unmatched and his plea for her to stay really resonates. He talks about the way this girl makes him feel just by walking in the room. I love the trumpets and simple percussion in this song. Mac is asking a girl to stay for just a little while longer. Track 3: “Stay” This one is more about the hardships that come along with relationships. Anderson wrote this hook as a nod to all the people in his life who had passed away. Track 2: “Dang!” Right away this song is upbeat and features a great chorus sung by Anderson. This project will be about the beauty of sexuality and power of femininity. You can tell right away that this project is going to lean heavily into sex, although not the way his music has in the past. This is a great starting track for the album. He talks about their relationship and how everything she does drives him wild. Track 1: “Congratulations” The album starts off with Mac seeming absolutely head over heels for a girl.
